How to Create a Course

This guide will walk you through the steps of creating a course on the EDALSA Network platform, whether it’s a live class or a pre-recorded course with video lectures and articles.

Step 1: Accessing the Course Creation Page

1. On your EDALSA Network dashboard, click on the “Create a New Course” button.

2. This will open the course creation page where you’ll find various fields to fill in.

Step 2: Filling in the Course Details

1. Course Title: In the first field, enter a clear and informative title for your course. For example, “Biology Classes for 9th Grade – Live Classes”.

2. Course Content: Describe the content of your course, including the number of units or modules and the overall duration (e.g., number of hours).

Step 3: Uploading the Featured Picture

  1. Upload an eye-catching image that represents your course well. This picture will be displayed on your main course page and marketing materials.
  2. Ensure the image includes your course name and other important details. If it’s a live course, incorporate a “live class” icon for clarity.

Step 4: Writing the Course Description

  1. Craft a concise and engaging description that highlights what students will learn in your course. Mention the key topics, skills, or knowledge they will gain.

Step 5: Adding the Cover Picture

  1. Choose an image that visually reflects the overall theme or content of your course. This will be displayed to students after they register.

Step 6: Selecting the Course Category

  1. Categorize your course accurately. For example, if it’s biology-related, choose the “Biology” category. This helps students discover your course during their searches.

Step 7: Adding Relevant Course Tags

  1. Include keywords and tags that students might use to search for similar courses. This increases the discoverability of your course on the platform.

Step 8: Submitting the Course

  1. Once you’ve filled in all the required fields, click the “Submit” button. This creates your course on the EDALSA Network.

Additional Notes:

  • If you’re creating a live course, you’re done! Move on to setting up your course settings.
  • For pre-recorded courses with videos and articles:
    • You’ll need to create modules and topics within your course to organize the learning content.
    • Upload your video lectures and any relevant articles or reading materials.
  • Remember to proofread your course description and other details for clarity and professionalism.

By following these steps, you can create an informative and engaging course on the EDALSA Network platform and share your knowledge with the world!
