Introduction:

AI, an acronym for artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that is concerned with development of machines which are capable of doing human tasks. In other words AI machines are those machines which can mimic human tasks fastly and accurately. From self driving cars to generative AI tools like chat GPT and Google’s bard, AI is becoming a crucial part of everyday life. AI involves developing algorithms and systems that can learn, reason, and make decisions based on data. It’s a fascinating area of study with applications in various industries, from healthcare to finance to transportation.

AI revolution:

The important of AI in today’s era is not vague. From the job sectors to educational or health care systems, AI has become crucial in every field. It is one of the fastest growing advancement in the field of computer sciences. The importance of AI in modern world can be justified because it is able to carry out human tasks effectively, accurately and effortlessly Almost every professional sector has incorporated AI in their systems and the others who didn’t or won’t do soon will be left behind in the race of modern business advancement.

Which professions might AI disrupt by 2030?

Whenever a new technology was developed, it put its consequences on something. For instance when wireless phones were invented, the use of landlines were disrupted. When online booking systems were introduced, the job of ticket keepers fell into extinction. When automated teller machines were invented, transaction recording people of bank losts their jobs. Everything has its pros and cons. The magnitude of AI disruption in the job sector is immeasurable because it keeps evolving. The cons of AI can’t be ignored in the long run. The biggest threat AI advancement will impose is job disruption. The following jobs are most likely to be affected by the enormous revolution of AI:

  • Routine tasks in manufacturing and assembly lines:

Those tasks which require repetitive or routine work will be drastically effected by Al. in automation and reduced human effort. AI advancements have had a significant impact on routine tasks in manufacturing and assembly lines. With AI, robots and machines can now perform repetitive tasks with precision and efficiency, reducing the need for human intervention. This automation not only increases productivity but also improves the quality of the final product.

  • Customer service representatives:

AI chat box and other virtual assistant tools are most likely to be used in future for customer queries and services reducing human effort. However, it’s important to note that human customer care representatives still play a crucial role in handling complex or emotionally sensitive situations that require empathy and understanding.

  • Bookkeeping and financial analysis:

Bookkeeping and simple financial analysis are likely to be recorded by AI since this technology can record transactions accurately. With AI, computers can do a lot of the repetitive tasks involved in bookkeeping, like recording transactions and organizing expenses. This saves time and reduces mistakes. AI can also analyze a ton of financial data and find patterns or trends that humans might miss.

  • Telemarketing:

AI is expected to dominate the industry of telemarketing too and has dominated majority of the industry. We already receive robot calls on the behalf of various offers, products and services. AI has changed telemarketing jobs by using smart computer programs. But human skills like building relationships are still important in sales and customer service. So, AI makes telemarketing different, but people are still needed to connect with customers. Career growth expected decline rate in this field is 18.2% by 2031.

  • Routine health care tasks:

Routine health care tasks, small diagnostics and basic patient monitoring maybe automated. AI has changed how routine healthcare tasks are done. It uses smart computer programs to help with things like scheduling appointments, answering common health questions, and giving basic medical advice. AI can also analyze medical data, like test results and scans, to help doctors make decisions. Wearable devices with AI can even monitor your health and call for help if something goes wrong. However, the human touch remains irreplaceable for complex diagnostics and patient’s emotional care.

  • Couriers:

Couriers and delivery people are being automated to drones. It won’t take so long to incorporate this technology altogether. While this automation may reduce the demand for traditional courier roles, it also opens up new opportunities in managing and maintaining these AI-powered delivery systems. Additionally, human couriers still play a vital role in delivering sensitive or complex items that require special care or personal interaction.

  • Proofreaders:

From MS word’s simple spelling check to other proofreading softwares, there are so many AI based technologies that make it easy to self check your writing. AI has disrupted proofreading jobs by offering automated tools that can quickly and accurately check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. While AI can catch many errors, it’s important to note that human proofreaders still play a crucial role in ensuring the overall quality and clarity of the content. Human proofreaders bring a deeper understanding of context, style, and tone, which AI may struggle to fully grasp. So, while AI has brought advancements to proofreading, it hasn’t completely replaced the need for human involvement in this field.

  • Sales people/sales related jobs:

All sorts of sales related jobs maybe affected by AI. Since AI can understand algorithms better than humans. AI AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can also handle customer inquiries, provide product recommendations, and even complete transactions, reducing the need for human sales representatives in certain scenarios. However, it’s important to note that human interaction and expertise are still crucial in sales.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the AI revolution is indeed transforming various job sectors. By 2030, jobs like proofreading, courier services, and customer care may see some changes due to AI advancements. However, it’s important to remember that while AI may disrupt certain roles, it also brings new opportunities and can enhance productivity in other areas. As the job landscape evolves, it’s essential for us to adapt and embrace the possibilities that AI offers.
